1.2 General goals

In the current, second part of the corpus processing phase there are several related general goals:

1. to provide a basis for a lexical representation of gestures;
2. to contribute towards optimising the CoGesT 1.0 transcription system;
3. to check the consistency of the CoGesT system, both in definition and in practical use;
4. to map CoGesT 1.0 on to a formal language CoGesT 1.1, designed as a human and machine readable and processable formal language for gesture modelling.
