2.4 Modifiers

The description of gestures can be modified adding additional quantitative information such as the speed of execution, the number of repetitions, and the size (extent) of the movement or shape, and so forth.

However, even if a gesture involves both parts of a pair, these parts can also move independently. In independent gestures there is no similarity in the direction or form of the gesture carried out by both body parts. Thus, such a gesture requires that the two body parts be described separately, one after the other (e.g. first the dominant hand and then the other).
