The further presentation is structured as follows:

- Section A, `Terminology', reviews central aspects of the study of terminology.
- Section 4, `A macro-model for spoken language terminology', develops an overall structure for a terminological lexicon for spoken language as a hyperlexicon.
- Section 5, `A micro-model for spoken language terminology', specifies the structure of lexical entries in the terminological hyperlexicon.
- Section 6, `A spoken language term database (termbank)' gives the structure of a terminological relational database (termbank) as a required output of the hyperlexicon.
- Section 7, `Recommendations and standardisation', tentatively lists recommendations and comments on the standardisation process.
- Section 8, `Conclusion and further work', summarises what has been achieved and outlines tasks still to be performed.
