The results of the current proposal for developing spoken language terminology descriptions concentrates primarily on a consensualisation procedure for de facto standards rather than a standardisation procedure for de jure standards. The reason is obvious: the field is currently terminologically immature and characterised by hybrid terminology on a grand scale.
