Up: The ``Microlexicon Method''
Previous: The examples
A microlexicon consists of three modules, each with internal hierarchical structure which stratifies each module into directly related strata. Interface fuzziness (e.g. between sub-word units and words, as in compounding, or between words and supra-word units, as in cliticisation) are reflected in small misalignments between the modules
at the stratum boundaries.
- Syntagmatic ID hierarchy of lemmata:
- Part-whole, constituency relations between lexical items (e.g. morphemes - simplex words - derived words - compounds - idioms ... )
- Paradigmatic Class hierarchy:
- Object/class/type implication/inheritance hierarchy/taxonomy, with/without defaults
- Syntagmatic model hierarchy:
- QLP hierarchy of interpreted forms, and LF hierarchy of semantic structures.
