Nouns

This unit is concerned with the following perspectives on describing nouns and their meanings:

1. Internal syntagmatic, i.e. the internal constituent structure of nouns.
2. External syntagmatic, i.e. the relation of a noun to the syntactic structure of the surrounding syntactic context.
3. Paradigmatic, i.e. the classification of nouns according to the similarity of their properties.
