  All participants are expected to take part actively in the seminar by holding oral reports and contributing to discussions.

• Term papers:

  Further information on length, style etc. is available on the web site (checklist).

• `Zwischenprüfung (ZP)':

  The ZP in English Studies (English/Anglistik) is taken after other qualifications by term paper etc. have been acquired.

  This means that the ZP is generally taken in the 4th semester.

  For those taking the ZP in this class, it consists of a written examination at the end of term, covering the topics and methods treated in the class. Further information will be made available as soon as possible.

  The same ZP will be held for both this class and the parallel class offered by Dr Sprengel.
