Instructions and overview

  1. Short reports should take about 10 mins.
  2. In order to prepare your reports, it will be useful to refer to the `standard lexical sets' of J. C. Wells.
  3. If necessary, prepare a dialect map.
  4. WWW pages for your reports have been prepared.
  5. The written version (no more than 1 - 2 pages) should be sent to me in unformatted (e.g. DOS ASCII) form by email (gibbon@spectrum.uni-bielefeld.de) for inclusion in your WWW report page.
  6. In your emails, include a subject line, such as: Dialect class (Cockney)
  7. If you have diagrammes, they should be given to me on a floppy disk, preferably in .tif, .gif, .jpg, or .eps formats.
  8. If you would like to make your own WWW home page for inclusion in the class Web documentation (no graphics to be included at this stage), please send it by email.
