Introduction to EAGLET

The termbank EAGLET is part of a project which deals with the standardization and resources for spoken language systems. EAGLET, the EAGLES termbank is designed to provide a standard terminology for work on spoken language systems.

The termbank contains terms from one major source: The Handbook of Standards and Resources for Spoken Language Systems. This has many advantages, for example, the text is written by experts who have done terminological work and there are no copyright problems.

A draft version of the termbank is provided on the EAGLES SLWG telecooperation site. [1]

Like traditional lexica hyperlexica need to have a certain structure. There are two underlying structures: mirco- and macrostructure.
