Prepare answers to the following tasks for the next meeting:

1. List and discuss the main differences between these transcriptions of spoken language and a standard written text.
2. Assign syntactic categories to the words in the lexicon.
3. Lemmatise the lexicon by hand (i.e. remove inflections). How many additional entries are there, if any?

5. Define the meaning of the words in the lexicon.
6. Some kinds of word are particularly characteristic of spoken, as opposed to written language. Which are these?
7. What function does each utterance have in the dialogue (e.g. question, instruction, comment, ...)?
8. How would you classify these functions in terms of Bühler's functional model (i.e. expressive, descriptive, appellative)?
