The recording stage in the acquisition of spoken language dialogue data depends on the scenario, and can range from

• rather simple (recording of a telephone conversation)

• to very complex (task negotiation with a `Wizard of Oz' or `system in the loop' setup)

Task:

Characterise the chosen scenario according to the criteria described below.

To facilitate this task, a sample blocks worlds scenario is described, and tabular summaries of the dimensions of data and procedure variation in the recording phase are provided.
