Scenario development

The definition of a scenario for the collection of spoken language dialogue data is task-driven.

That is, a task such as

• train travel enquiries,
• air travel information services,
• appointment scheduling,
• process control,
• aggregate construction,

is selected and characterised in sufficient detail for designing the recording process.

A scenario will be selected in class, and a scenario specification will be developed.
