Term papers are based on the following principles:
- Part theoretical, part practical
- The practical part is based on operational, empirical work, in this case building a dictionary based on a small, selected wordfield.
- The practical part describes the dictionary and explains the principles on which it is based, referring to the computational lexicography literature, the WWW, etc., as required.
- The length of the term paper is around 20 pages (excluding long examples, such as text corpus extracts and the dictionary itself, which should go in an appendix).
- For further hints, see the checklist on my teaching web page.
