Tasks:

1. Phonetics is the science of speech sounds and the processes of production (articulatory phonetics), transmission (acoustic phonetics) and perception (perceptual phonetics). Each of these three sub-domains of phonetics is associated with different methods. Characterise these three domains, their subjects and methods.
2. Speech production involves planning thoughts, formulating units of language, and articulating these in speech (writing functions analogously). Search the web for a model in which these three levels are described (clue: search for the name LEVELT).
3. At the articulatory level, basic information about the anatomy of the speech organs is needed. Search the web for graphics, photos, etc. which illustrate the anatomy of speech organs.
4. Copy this information (with graphics, and, if possible, audio) into a text document and write a brief introduction and conclusion to your document.
