- to give a brief description of the
information structure,
document structure and
presentation structure
of a document of your choice on the WWW
- to produce a basic dictionary of technical terms used in the class
as a structured document with a description of its
information structure,
document structure and
presentation structure
The technical terms for the dictionary will be taken from the following lists,
and German translations should be included in addition to the
definitions where relevant:
- Select four terms on the topic of practical issues:
account, user ID, desktop, password
shortcut, folder, directory, file
internet, WWW, email, http, ftp
client, server, browser
- Select four terms on the topic of documents:
database, record, field
format, style (Formatvorlage), markup
electronic publishing,
HTML, RTF, DOC,
hyperlink, rtftohtml
- Define all three terms:
information structure,
document structure and
presentation structure
